And... it's a lime!!

About two months ago I learned that I am pregnant and on the path to motherhood! It was a complete surprise to me when the pregnancy test said positive and I just looked at Jake with wide eyes and a shocked expression. After the shock wore off I had a goofy grin and I said, "Well hon, it looks like we're going to have a baby!" The following seven weeks were pretty rough when morning sickness (or should I say all day sickness) settled in heavy. I wasn't vomiting, but I felt the nausea non-stop. Fruit made me sick even though I craved it, and the only thing that actually ebbed the discomfort was Ritz crackers with cheese slices. At what I estimated was week 10 we went to see a doctor and get an ultrasound to look at our little baby.

Can you see its little head and face? And its legs kicking up in the air?

Waiting was the hardest game, but finally we got to see the little tyke. When I heard its heartbeat I just started to cry and the tears kept flowing as we saw it move and bounce around. It would kick its legs and do little jumps off its back. From what the doctor said, everything looks normal and good, and we were even measuring at 10 weeks 6 days! Our baby is healthy so far and pretty active. I can't believe there is something growing inside of me and it still feels surreal. I'm so excited for this baby to come and make its appearance!! Now at 12 weeks along, this little bean is the size of a lime- about two inches long- and growing faster than I can believe.
