The Tupperware Theorem

I'm totally coining this theory from my friend Alissa, but it's genius so I thought I would share it. We're all like tupperware; some square, some round, some triangular, big, small, star, etc. I'm probably a triangle or star shaped tupperware. I'm a perfectly good tupperware. I do my job; hold food or liquids well, I am a great color, I hold all the right stuff, I'm not cracked, warped or broken. I am a great tupperware. However, as much as I like a round lid tupperware person, as good as that lid is and as perfectly as it fits another tupperware, it is round and I am not. So two great tupperware pieces can be great, but they just don't work together. It kind of stinks that someone I see as a great tupperware lid doesn't fit me and I keep looking around the drawer trying to find the right lid, but with little success. But sometimes lids get lost in the shuffle, they get pushed to the bottom with all the rifling through the drawer. So I will just have to be patient until I can find my perfect triangle shaped lid.

Saints and Sinners in Vegas

Las Vegas, NV. What happens here stays here, unless of course the pictures follow you.

Last June I had the fun opportunity to run the Wasatch Back Ragnar from Logan to Park City. This last weekend I got to run again but this time in Las Vegas! I was invited last minute by a brand new friend (literally I officially started talking to him two days before he invited me to join his team. Don't worry, he's in my institute class so it wasn't sketchy). Our team name was the Power Walkers which was ironic because we were definitely not a slow team. Our start time was at 1:30 and was the last start time of the day reserved for the fastest teams. Well, as the first runner in our twelve man team I got to start with the quickest people I've ever run against and it sure was intimidating.

We had a good pace and were able to pass a lot of teams during the next 24 hours. We came in fast in spite of the trials we faced (like a team mate getting lost on one of his legs or our last runner suffering from dehydration and lack of food on the final leg). It was a blast and I got to bond with my van mates very well. We had so much fun spending four days together in a car.

One of the benefits of running the Wasatch Ragnar and the Vegas Ragnar was that I qualified for something called a double medal. It's called the Saints and Sinners medal (which was a big part of why I wanted to run Vegas at all this year). Holden (my new friend) helped my dream come true!

Most of my van mates: Marie, her cousin Milo, Meaghan, Holden and me. We're missing our other male counterpart Jay.

Bonding while waiting for our runners to come.

The girls at the beginning waiting for the race to start. Snow in Vegas!!

We made it to the end!! Showing off our tats to prove to the world how cool we are.

I came. I ran. I conquered.

After the race we had to wait for the second van to show up. We waited for four hours and got some nice massages.
Here I was explaining to Meaghan that my massage man told me I needed to massage my belly to help loosen up my tight thigh and hip muscles.

After our team made it across the finish line. Way to go Power Walkers!!!

After Ragnar we got to go to the USU vs. UNLV football game and support the Aggies. It's a rewarding feeling to beat a team on their home field and it was a good game.
