Daddy Daughter Date
Last night my dad took me on a daddy daughter date to see The Blind Side. First of all, incredible movie and I recommend it to everyone. Second of all, I'm really grateful that I had this chance to spend time with my papa. I've felt that since last June our relationship hasn't been as great as it once was, and last night was a great chance to strengthen it. Thank you daddy. I love you so much.

Party On the Dance Floor
Last Friday, one of my bests, Chantelle threw a huge party for Klark, herself and me. You see, Klark's birthday was the following Saturday (he is now officially a menace to society), Chann left for an extended stay in Germany on that same day and since my birthday is also in March, they threw me in the mix for good measure. We had our friend Allen DJ for us at the local church building and it was a rockin time. Before the dancing however, Chann's really good childhood friend, Aaron, came to play the piano and sing for us. He was amazing!! If he weren't engaged and a little bit taller, I'd totally have a crush on him. But he really was incredible. Jessica and I sat drooling while he performed.
The party was rockin, as a I said, but mostly because so many friends from different walks of life came and supported all of us. It was definitely a widely varied group. So thank you Chann for everything you did and I'll miss you while you're in Germany honey. Be good and don't kiss too many foreign boys ... unless you plan on shipping delicious Italian gelato back to your girls.

Good Ole' Goldy

Once upon a time I was asked to Homecoming in the year of 2007 with about 13 goldfish. One by one they died, as goldfish do, until there was only one left. This fish grew into a monstrosity about five times his original size. He was a good fish. Happy, content to swim around his itsy little bowl. All he really asked was to be fed. By now this fish was 2 and half years old. That's like a million in goldfish years. One day Ryan found him floating on the top of the water and shook him just to check. Poor fish was jostled alive and probably had a heart attack. He was sluggish and morose the rest of the day. Unfortunately, the next morning he was floating on the top again and much to my dismay, he was there for good. No amount of shaking could wake this little fellow up again. So now he has gone to that great toilet bowl in the sky. Good bye fish, thank you for being a good aquatic friend for the past two years. We will miss you.

Abandonment Issues
No, silly, I'm not the one who has been abandoned. I'm the one doing the abandoning. I hate making promises in case I find something more interesting to do, which will result in me leaving you in the dust. Can I help it? I'm yellow! We live to have a good time, we live to party and do the next fun thing!!... but oh wait, I'm blue too. Which means I feel guilty for being yellow and leaving you in the dust... what a horrible personality combination. It's probably worse than being red and white. So I guess this is my apology to the world. I'm sorry for not thinking you were fun enough to give up a trip to the park! I'm sorry you are boring and I'm sorry I am unable to commit. I'm sorry for breaking my commitments to you because I'd rather read a book or watch a movie. And I'm sorry I am the way I am, but I have to deal with it so I guess that means you do to. Thank you world for being patient with me and I hope you continue to understand that commitment and attachment are qualities I have to work on every single day. If I slip up, the best thing for you to do in order to keep your sanity and still like me is shake your head, take a deep breath and let it go until I get around to fixing it later. And it will get fixed, if you just leave it to my time table. So thank you world, and thank you people in the world for putting up with me.
